Recipient of Presidential Award, Republic of India (2003) Professor (Dr) Anoop Swarup has over 40 years of distinguished professional experience in diverse roles as an educationist, poet, peace activist, life scientist, futurist, social entrepreneur and as civil servant with the Indian Revenue Service in senior roles. He was appointed as United Nations Representative with the UNSC at New York by UN Secretary General Ban ki Moon in 2007.

He is a distinguished Fellow of Royal Society of Arts, London (FRSA) in 2015, recipient of Hiroshima Peace Award in 2016, Highest Award of Recognition by Soka University, Tokyo in 2016, a Global Environment Outlook Reviewer with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, (UNEP) that was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007, Amrita Devi Bishnoi Medal in 2013, prestigious Citation by the Zoological Society of India in 2014 in Environmental Sciences and UNESCAP Hon’ble Mention in 2001. He has been a Fellow of World Business Institute, Australia (2016), Fellow, Zoological Society of India (2013) as also Fellow and Life Member of many other Institutions such as the International Institute of Strategic Studies, (IISS), London, Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), All India Management Association (AIMA). He is an alumnus of Universities in India and abroad, holds a Doctorate and four distinguished Masters with First Positions and University Gold Medals in diverse fields that include Management, Finance, Defense & Strategy and Life Sciences. He has been a Fulbright Visitor to United States (2004), Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow (2002), Ausaid Fellow (2001), recipient of NCERTs National Science Talent Scholarship (1971), UGCs JRF (1980), CSIRs SRF (1981) and Commonwealth Scholarship to Cambridge University (1981).

He is the Founding Vice Chancellor of Jagran Lakecity University, 2012 to date, Vice Chancellor of Shobhit University (2009) also being the Chairperson, Governing Council of 'Centre for Global Non Killing' (CGNK), set up at Hawaii in 2015, Founder Chair of ‘Global Knowledge Alliance’ (GKA) in 2014, Centre for Pavement Excellence (CPEAP) at RMIT University, in 2015 and Founder 'Nextomics' (2015) at Melbourne, Australia. He has been the Founder Trustee of ‘Indian Council of Gandhian Studies’ (ICGS) in 2001, Chairman, Melbourne School of Knowledge Management (MSKM) in 2006 and Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies (HDHS) in 2011. He is also on the Advisory and Board of Companies abroad and in India such as Orgdyne US 2011, ADS Projects (2011), CEEARA Ratings (2012), Sierra Biolife Australia (2012), DHS Technologies (2012), Symstream Technologies Australia, (2015) and Avestagen (2016).

He joined the public sector, General Insurance Corporation working with New India Assurance (1981) and as Member of Indian Revenue Service (1985), in various senior positions having been posted at Mumbai, Kanpur, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Indore, Kolkata, Port Blair, New Delhi and London, having also received 43 commendations, accolades and awards in positions such as Commissioner (Customs) Rajasthan, Commissioner (Appeals) in 2005, Director, International Customs in 2003, Director Antismuggling in 2001, with Ministry of Finance, North Block New Delhi, as Director and Executive Director (NYKS) with Department of Youth Affairs and Sports in Ministry of Human Resources, heading the world's largest Youth organization in 1996 and also with the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in New Delhi headquarters.

He founded ‘Sambhav’ Trust for de addiction in 2008, ‘Sambhavami’ not for profit society to promote micro enterprises in 1992 and conceptualized the ‘National Reconstruction Corps’ in 1998, ‘UNDP-NYKS Poverty Alleviation Awards’ in 1999 and the ‘Millennium Youth Parliament’ in 2000 that was presided by the Prime Minister, initiated a ‘National Think Tank’ in Union Ministry of Finance in 2004, launched annual international conference on ‘Indian Civilization through the Millennium’ in 2008.

He has been a speaker, resource person and a Visiting Professor with Universities and Institutions internationally such as Monash University, Australia, Lancaster University, UK, IISS Geneva, WTO and WCO Brussels, WIPO Washington DC, United Nations Development Program (UNEP), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), United Nations Fund for Population (UNFPA) and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV). Amongst his several research papers and books, notable are 'Aloha' and 'Arcadia' Book of Poems, Give Noinkilling a Chance’, released by former President of India, Dr Pranab Mukherjee,' Give Nonviolence a Chance' released by the former Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh, 'Indian Civilization Through the Millennium', Bio Innovations and Entrepreneurship', 'The World of Money laundering, Commercial frauds & Financial Crimes’ and 'Regional Economic Engagements & Free Trade Agreements' He is the Editor at Large of 'Jagran International Journal on Contemporary Research', Chief Editor of ‘International Journal of Contemporary Research in Engineering and Technology’ and Editor ‘Nice Journal of Business’, listed in Cabel’s Directory, USA.
