Dr. Machunwangliu Kamei is currently a Faculty for Online Education Strategies, University of the People, Pasadena, California, USA & Assistant Professor Film, TV and New Media Productions in SVKM’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Art Science and Commerce, Mumbai, India.

She is an experienced academician and media producer with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Skilled in Visual Communication, E-Learning, Instructional Design, Content and Curriculum Development. Research professional with a Doctor in Communication and certified as Expert of New Learning Technology from University of Applied Sciences in Furtwangen, Germany. She has been an Online Tutor in eLearning Development and Implementation course & eSkills under GiZ, German International Cooperation and University of the Philippines Open University. She was also one of the 52 Global Mentors (2018) selected by Teachers College, Columbia University New York for 'Teachers for Teachers project’, a continuous teacher professional development project in Kakuma refugee camp and Kalobeyei settlement, Kenya with 360 mentees from Burundi, DRC, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan and Uganda. Global mentors are experienced teachers or passionate education professionals who provide refugee and Kenyan teachers with opportunities to continue to engage with the training and peer coaching content through online mentoring. Mentors were selected based on their experiences in teaching, working in developing world contexts, and knowledge of the education in emergencies field.
