Ananya S Guha has been born and brought up in Shillong. He retired as a Regional Director from the IGNOU where he worked for over twenty six years. Prior to this he worked as Senior Lecturer and Head Dept of English St. Edmund’s College Shillong.Guha has worked in areas of conventional teaching, distance education and vocational education and training. He has contributed papers and articles on these subjects in magazines, journals, books and international conferences. He has eight books of poetry to his credit and his poems which have been published world wide have also been widely anthologised. He has also written articles on topics of social and political interest as well as literary book reviews. He is frequent public speaker in Shillong and North East India. He has also edited the poetry page of the Thumb Print magazine for almost five years, where he has introduced new talent from all over the country, especially North East India. Guha holds a doctoral degree on the novels of William Golding but also evinces a keen interest on Indian Writing In English.Guha has around thirty eight years of academic, administrative and teaching experience.
